DriveMyMac

Terms

Last updated: 26 October 2026

These terms apply when you buy or use DriveMyMac. Dodo Payments sells the licence to you as Merchant of Record, and its checkout terms apply to the purchase. The licence for the software comes from the seller below.

Licence

One purchase is one licence for one Mac. You pay once, and the price shown at checkout is final. It includes all future updates of DriveMyMac at no extra cost, for as long as we publish them. Dodo Payments emails you a license key after you pay. You paste the key into the app to unlock it on your Mac. One key works on one Mac at a time. An extra Mac needs another purchase.

Moving a licence

You can move a key to another Mac any time: remove it in the app’s Settings on the old Mac, then paste it on the new one. If you lost the old Mac, email support@drivemymac.app and we will free the key.

No trial

There is no trial. The app stays locked until you paste a valid license key. Please check that your Mac meets the requirements (macOS 15.4 and newer, including macOS 26 and macOS 27) before you buy. Purchases are final, except as described in Refunds.

Acceptable use

  • Do not share, resell or circumvent the licence, or use one key on several Macs at the same time.
  • Do not use the app to break the law or the terms of your cloud providers.
  • Do not attack or overload our servers.

Your cloud accounts and backups

You are responsible for your cloud accounts, their terms and their costs, and for keeping your own backups. DriveMyMac streams data between your Mac and the cloud you choose, and it does not replace a backup.

Warranty and liability

The app is provided as it is. Beyond what the law requires, we give no warranty about fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted operation. Statutory rights that cannot be excluded, including those of consumers, stay untouched.

We are liable without limit for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, and where mandatory law requires. For a slightly negligent breach of an essential contractual duty, our liability is limited to the typical, foreseeable damage. Otherwise liability for slight negligence is excluded.

Governing law

German law applies, excluding the UN Sales Convention. If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live stay untouched.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms for good reasons, for example a change in the law or the product. We will update the date above and, for changes that matter, tell buyers in advance on this website, in the app or in Dodo Payments’s email. A purchase you already made stays under the terms that applied when you bought it, unless the change is in your favour or required by law.
