What the app asks for
- Access key ID
- From the key you just created.
- Secret key
- Shown once when you create the key. Copy it then.
- Endpoint
- s3.<region>.wasabisys.com, such as s3.eu-central-1.wasabisys.com. It must match the region of your bucket.
- Bucket
- The bucket name only.
In the Wasabi console open Access Keys in the menu, then Create Access Key.
Permissions to giveList the bucket, and read, write and delete objects in it. For a sub-user, give it a policy for that bucket only.
Make a sub-user for DriveMyMac with a policy for this one bucket, and make its key. Then you can remove it without touching your main account.
Good to know
- If the endpoint does not match the bucket’s region, Wasabi answers with an error. Check the region on the Buckets page.
- A single file can be up to 5 TB.
- Wasabi bills every file for at least 90 days. A file you delete sooner is still charged for the rest of that time.
- An empty folder is kept as a small marker object.

Questions
Which Wasabi endpoint do I enter?
s3.<region>.wasabisys.com for the region of your bucket, such as s3.eu-central-1.wasabisys.com. The Buckets page shows the region.
Why does Wasabi show a redirect error?
The endpoint does not match the region of the bucket. Use the endpoint of the bucket’s own region.
What permissions does the Wasabi key need?

An access key ID, the secret key, the endpoint of your bucket’s region and the bucket name. You find the keys in your Wasabi console.
